Before you come
A short list of what to do, and what to bring. We never ask for your health history in a message or a contact form.
Pick a time
Use the contact form or call. Say if mornings or afternoons are easier.
Fill in your history
Use our private patient portal. It is the only place we ask about your health.
Bring what you have
A photo ID, a list of the medicines you take, and any dental X-rays you have.
Ask about fees
You can have the fee for the first visit before you come. Ask when you book.
What the first visit feels like
Dr. Zand starts by listening.
She asks what you would like her to know, then walks you through the room and lays out the tools she would use. If you want to sit in the chair, you can. If you want to leave after the talk, you can. Nothing is done to your teeth, and you leave with a plan only if you ask for one.
In the visit
About an hour
No treatment
A signal you pick, and we stop
An estimate in writing for anything more

Before your first visit
Can I just talk to you first?
Yes. That is what the first visit is.
Can I bring someone?
Yes. A friend or family member can sit with you in the consult room and the treatment room.
What if I get nervous and want to leave?
Say so. You can leave at any point, and we will still be glad you came.
Ask for a time
Detra will call, text or email you back with an opening for your first visit.
